Fantastic Roast Beef. Boardwalk cuisine at it's best :) Server was friendly and fun and we even bought extra sandwiches to take home - they are that good.

Good place to eat while strolling the boardwalk! The Taurus sandwich was good and my son had the Bull club sandwich and he loved it! The staff was friendly...the fries were great! We don't recommend the chesseburgers.....stick with a signature sandwich and try the potato salad. ..it was yummy! The give a great military discount!!!

The Bourbonize speciality sandwich was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and was happy to accommodate my vegetarian mother. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed place to have a great sandwich on the boardwalk, this is it.

more like 2.5 stars. this is a pretty standard place to be on a boardwalk. I haven't eaten much of the restaurant fare in OC but compared to what you can usually find in this kind of setting (beach, boardwalk, unhealthy) it's nothing too mind-blowing. I came here over the weekend with a group of 4 during a mini getaway and it was around lunch time. I ordered the half pound of shrimp and I'm pretty sure this shrimp was frozen then defrosted. it was really difficult to peel which shouldn't happen if it was fresh, right? but for only &10 it was tolerable. I didn't try the pit sandwiches, which seems to be the big sellers, but it looked really good. the loaded fries were definitely loaded. the pickled jalapeños on top were great! service was great. the place was really small. food was cheap. all around, it was your average dive restaurant/bar.

Fantastic sandwiches and great service! Great kids menu also! It's our first destination when we get to the beach!!!

While walking the boards today, I tried to figure out what I wanted for lunch. Guido's burritos was mobbed and every other food place seemed to sell funnel cake and ice cream. Finally I came across Bull on the Beach. I ordered the steamed shrimp (1/2 lb) and side of fries. Everything was made fresh and my shrimp were left plain (as I asked for). My server was friendly and attentive as well. If I want seafood on the boardwalk, I'd probably be back!

This is the original location. I remember coming here years ago as a kid. They always had the best roast beef. I have to admit it has been at least 5 years since I have stopped in here. Last weekend, a group of 5 of us came in. The place seemed a lot smaller, but I don't know if that is just my imagination. I had the open pit beef and it was amazing. A huge pile of sliced roast beef, on top of bread, smothered with gravy. It was better than I remembered. The service was very friendly and quick. We were all done eating and out of there in 20 minutes. One of my friends had the BBQ beef and said it also was good, but I think he was envious of our plates!

Great little stop in the Boardwalk. For my wife, it's the first place we must go to after unpacking. Great food and really reasonable prices to be on the Boardwalk.

I can officially say I have never had a really good meal in Ocean City. I was hoping since I'm a little older and care more about what I consume I would come back to my childhood vacation playground and find some great Ocean City cuisine that I had been missing for so many years. Turns out there really isn't much good, thoughtful food in O.C. This leads me to Bull on the Beach. We decided to eat here after my boyfriend pointed out his parents would never let him get a sandwich here when he was younger because it was too expensive. Well since a meal is $8.00, I figured what the hell we will splurge. I ordered the pit beef sandwich that came with a cheese sauce and grilled onions. My boyfriend got the regular pit beef with spicy mayo and horseradish on the side. The sandwiches are really big. You get a lot of meat for your buck. However the meat was super dry. Even with the cheese saturating the meat I still had to add some spicy mayo to make it go down a little easier. The spicy mayo was really spicy and really good. I would use it on any type of sandwich concoction. The fries were typical. Nothing special, pre cut, frozen I presume. Overall it was a good price for the meal if you overlook the disappointing meat. Granted we did go to the location on the boardwalk so I will give a little leeway for lackluster meals. Yet this is their main item, you think they would take a little more pride in providing some succulent meat. I know it can be done. If this is any indication what their other restaurants produce I doubt I will be going back or to any other locations.

After reading other reviews, we decided to make this our first stop in ocmd for lunch. It was delicious! We ate at the small one between 2nd and 3rd Street on the boardwalk. There is a bigger one along coastal Highway down the island further though. We both had sandwiches with very delicious roast beef, turkey, and ham on them, with French fries. They serve alcohol too. All in all a good place and VERY FAST. Our sandwiches and fries took about 3 minutes to Come out. Only reason I said 4 stars was because they didn't melt the cheese on the sandwich. Just a pet peeve.

If you read a lot of my reviews, it becomes apparent that I love grilled chicken sandwiches. The Bull on the Beach makes a really good grilled chicken sandwich. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Ocean City. I also plan to try their burgers, which look really good.

Well bull on the beach is the worst place to eat because flys just sit there and eat your food but when you wack the fly it just comes back and customer service stunk I. Had to go up and ask for sauce, drinks and even my food so do not eat there unless you want to go up and ask for your food and have flys eat and sit in it bye!

We were on the boardwalk and decided to go to Bull on the Beach. We arrived and were seated immediately. Our waitress was great and recommended great dishes. I went with the Pit Beef Sandwich and fries. What a great sandwich, loaded with Pit Beef, and the fries were crispy and fresh. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals and there was not one complaint. I will be back. Oh, they only take cash, but have an ATM available in the restaurant.

This used to be a good spot to get a pit beef sandwich but I think they just gave up. My last visit was disappointing. My pit beef was unmemorable , I ordered medium rare and it was medium. It tasted like it was steamed or something, lacking the smokey flavor I'm used to. My nephews sliders were small frozen beef(?) patties placed on cut hot dog rolls. not very good. My sons chicken breast sandwich looked nice, it was huge, a whole breast. And he said it was good. The fries were fries. This isn't the same place my dad took me when I was a kid. Bull on the Beach? More like *Bull* on the beach if you ask me. I'll try the North OC location next time...maybe

I adventured on the boardwalk one day and come across Bull on the Beach. I decided to stop in for a quick bit to eat. The restaurant has easy access off the boardwalk. I ordered the Pit Beef Sandwich with cheese and bacon fries. The beef sandwich was delicious. The sandwich came with horseradish. I'm not a big fan of horseradish but the horseradish sauce complimented the beef very well. The cheese and bacon fries were tatsy. The fries came out fresh and hot. The food was reasonably priced. The service was good and the employees were nice. The waitress was very attentive. I enjoyed my meal and service at Bull on the Beach. If you like beef,I highly recommend trying Bull On the Beach.Note:The Bull On the Beach boardwalk location is CASH ONLY!Theres an ATM inside of the restauant.

Awesome sandwiches, price is great, service is fantastic. I got the bull club, turkey, ham, roast beef....amazing. I like the one on the broad walk the best. Stop in and enjoy a sandwich and a beer

This is a tiny spot at the boardwalk in OC. At first I thought I wasn't going to like it but I was wrong. The service was fast and friendly, and the waitress recommended one of the 2 choices I had in mind. It was a great choice! I ordered the pit beef with bourbon sauce, Swiss cheese, onions, and mushrooms sandwich. It was super yummy. My boyfriend had the steamed shrimp that includes either 2 beers or 2 soft drinks (pretty good deal). He said the shrimp was better than Joe's crab shack. He also liked his meal. The only downside was that there were flies around in the restaurant, but I don't think I should be so picky since it wasn't a fancy spot. Anyways, I deff recommend this place if you want a yummy sandwich with low prices and if you don't mind a few flies around lol. it's deff worth eating here.

Ate at the boardwalk location on a rainy Sunday. It was ok, nothing special. Considering how much friend was hyping it, I was disappointed. If I went in without that higher expectations, I would have been fine. But overall, it's a solid 3 star. Cheap eats at the boardwalk.
(3)G G.
I'm a fan price is fair being that's the location is on the boardwalk under $8 for a 5-6oz sandwich. The open pit sandwich is nice and juicy they also dip it in the juicys that's cooked off of the meat
(4)Eric H.
Cheap, good quality food in a sea of expensive tourist traps. This place is gem.
(4)Brian R.
Pit beef is da bomb. Bull has great boardwalk location, though this tine the beef was dry and buns a bit stale... But the fresh raw shredded horseradish was awesome
(3)Linda C.
pit beef, as always, the best and quick service with a smile. fyi: never go to coastal highway, pit beef there is soooo bad.
(5)Chelsea P.
The meats look great roasting over the pit. BUT... unfortunately it doesn't transfer to the eating experience. Dry and tasteless :-( Sad story. Wish me better luck on my next vacay meal!

This is a must for Ocean City! There are several locations. Do not be discouraged by the seating inside (few tables) you can carry out sit on the boardwalk and people watch. I tend to sit inside, the service is friendly and quick. My server was Nikki. Food is extremely affordable and you get alot of meat in your sandwich. I tend to stay away from red meat; however, I have to eat the Open Pit Beef on a kaiser bun. The BBQ is delicious original or sweet. The menu has a great selection. Food is warm and always delicious. The decor is interesting to look at while waiting on your food (which is out within minutes). 2 big sandwiches with tax less than $17.00, deal! Place to go when on the boardwalk. Happy Eats :) Rated 4 stars because I have to try more items on the menu, although the several times me and my family have eaten there, I have always been satisfied. My friend (a little picky) ate there yesterday for the first time (Turkey sandwich) and she loved the flavor and couldn't believe the generous portion (Yes, she ate all of it). She wanted to order another sandwich for later.

The food is pretty good. I recommend the Frenchie. They need to work on the ambiance. The place is plain and sterile looking/feeling.
(3)Nic J.
Really average. I got a pit beef with cheese and onions. The meat was tender, but lacking in flavor. I actually prefer Arby's, sad as that is. My wife got boiled shrimp and raw oysters, and they were just ok. It wasn't horrible, but I feel like I should have tried a different pit beef place.

Okay so my family and I just ate here it was amazing besides from the wonder server nikki the food was very yummy and portions was un real I had a blueches beef sandwiches I had to cut to bite it was huge hubby had the club everyone suggested again awesome and my extremely picky kids one had the sliders which were good had to taste and one with some talking in too had the corn beef sandwich yum we didn't want to walk from being full drinks were cheap as well and we all got fries I got Cole salw( delicious )this will be our new traditional place on the board walk for sure !!! And just cause I feel this will be helpful family of two teens and hubby and I 60$ bucks oh and the food came out supper supper fast ! Only complaint is there buffalo cheddar ff. We're just ff soaked in hit sauce and some cheddar sauce so don't bother paying extra just get a size of cheddar

Nabbed the first booth with an ocean view (there's only one), were served swiftly and treated to the best food on the boardwalk. Highly recommend the fried flounder sandwich and the steamed shrimp. Quality grub minus tourist pricing; so happy we stopped in! Oh, and whoever was in charge of the music on Friday, June 14th, at around 5:30-6 PM...you're the 5th star in this review.
(5)Josh E.
I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews, but Bull on the Beach has absolutely phenomenal pit beef sandwiches. I was surprised to have such great food at a small, hole-in-the-wall joint on the OC Boardwalk. The service was great too and I made some small talk with one of the chefs while he cooked on the open pit. Very nice place - definitely worth a stop for lunch while you're enjoying the rays on the beach.
(5)Karl B.
This is a little hole in the wall at the honky tonk end of the boardwalk but our waitress was very pleasant and helped us navigate the variations on Baltimore pit beef. Never had it before, now I'm a fan.

Absolutely a classic. A real Ocean City Institution. The Bull - The downtown Bull, is a righteous feed bag. Every year in the Spring, I have my buddy down, inevitably we stay out & drink too much... Hungover, the next morning, my friend always insists on walking the boards. This is usually my first full walk of the year, I like to start North and move South, by the time I reach 2nd street Bull: A beef based sanctuary, The Temple of caramelized Carne. A Chunky beef and ham hacienda! I am ready to rock! I order pretty simple, Both Ham and Beef thin sliced on Kaiser. with the mandatory horseradish & Au Jus. I like extra crisp fries & unsweetened Iced Tea. It's Delicious!

Went here for lunch with 3 friends before we left to go back to VA. I got chilled shrimp($5) and half a dozen of oysters($8). It was good but I felt like it was a bit over priced for the small 6 shrimps on a stick and oysters I got. And I found a crab fetus in one of my oysters. I didn't know what it was at first, so I asked the waitress. But other than the small amount and fetus, I think this place is pretty average.

Came in July 6th late night for a quick bite before me and the boyfriend hit the town for my birthday. The hostess was rude and didn't want to seat us I guess because they wanted to stop serving food? But we sit down anyway and wait for our server. She was nice enough but when I ordered a drink and presented my ID (USA) she informed me that they do not accept passports as valid forms of ID ... WHAT?!?! A government issued United States of America that CLEARLY states I am 23?!?! You don't accept that?!?! Absurd. But I opt for a pink lemonade and we decide to order food anyway. I went with oysters and shrimp, but they were out of oysters! For a place that is supposed to serve seafood? I don't get it. So we left, didn't even get to try the food or drinks which is a shame, looked like a cool place.

The food here was ok, not bad but I wouldn't come back for more. The server was attentive but we felt like they were pushing us out the door. Our appetizers and meals were brought out at the same time, followed very shortly after by the check. I know it's a small place with very little seating but they also offer take out so I don't see what the rush is all about.
